Mr. Weeks, I was very happy to find you. I had been looking for awhile for someone to restore my unique shade. your professionalism blew me away. you found the exact color fabric. when I saw the restored shade, it brough tears to my eyes. I live in upstate New York and first learned about Custom Lamps
& Shades when my sister and brother-in-law, who live in Florida,
traveled to Mount Dora. They happened to pass the building where
Custom Lamps & Shades is located, took a picture of its sign
with telephone number and sent that picture to me in case I was
interested for two of my prized lampshades which were in very
bad condition. I felt that I would not be able to use my
beautiful, older lamps again unless these lampshades received
special attention. I found that attention for my lampshades in
Mr. Weeks' experienced and capable hands.
I contacted Mr.
Weeks and quickly realized that his services were exactly what
my lampshades needed. I then sent them to Mount Dora and
subsequently had both phone and mail correspondence with Mr.
Weeks. I always found him to be very kind and courteous as he
kept me informed about the progress he was making. He also sent
a picture of one of the completed lampshades. It was absolutely
spectacular, looking just like the original, even down to the
delicate trim on the top, which he took much care to recreate.
He packed both of them extremely carefully, with plastic
surrounding them and much paper around them and in the box, as
well as using a rod within the box, to help keep both lampshades
safe and secure.
I was very excited when they arrived and
so thrilled when I saw them attached to the lamps, looking just
like the originals, making the room again appear as it once did
and seeing the masterful work of Mr. Weeks. As a previous
reviewer stated, it also brought tears to my eyes. My sincere
thanks to Mr. Weeks for all his efforts and I would very highly
recommend him (5 STARS). I was so glad that I learned of his
shop, thanks to my sister and brother-in-law, even though I live
